About ELSA
Elsa was born 1st June 2014 and is looking for a cosy, loving home to spend her retirement years in. This totally adorable and most lovable senior Stafford has spent several weeks in our care and during that time has shown us just how wonderful a dog she is. Surrendered to us after her previous owners ill-health meant that she could no longer be taken care of properly, Elsa was understandably sad to leave the home she had known and loved since she was a puppy. However, Elsa has the innate ability to bond extremely well with the new people she meets and has been an absolute dream for her foster family from the moment she arrived into their care.
Elsa brings a smile to everyone's face who meets her. She is funny, playful and a complete joy to have around. She loves to be in the thick of things and potters around after anyone and everyone with an avid curiosity of things that go on in a normal loving family environment. Elsa is extremely well-mannered and well-behaved and has proven to be one of the most biddable Staffords ever known to us.
Elsa would fit in nicely with a variety of family dynamics. Her current foster family are made up of two adults and two younsters aged 15 years and 11 years. She may also well be suited to children aged 8 years and above who know how to behave around a dog/s. She could be considered suitable for a family that already has an existing dog of similar age and energy level depending on successful meet and greets. Elsa would also be an ideal companion for a more senior family and would make the most wonderful suitor for an individual or couple who are also in their retirement years and who would just love a perfect Stafford to share their time with. Cuddling up on the sofa and being as close as she can to human beings is one of Elsa's favourite pastimes.
Elsa is fully house trained, sleeps well at night, travels well in the car (even long distances) and is very relaxed on her walks. Meeting new people on a walk makes her very happy. She is at ease to greet other dogs that are calm around her whilst out and about. Elsa is a low to medium energy dog and is quite content with two short walks (up to 20 minutes) a day or one longer 30/40 minute walk at a slow pace. A few days without a walk and playing ball in the garden is also sufficient to keep Elsa happy and healthy.
Elsa can be left on her own for reasonable amounts of time and is non-destructive.
Elsa is eligible for our Senior Stafford Scheme which pays for up to £1000 worth of veterninary bills (excluding vaccinations and worming treatment) post adoption should she need it. More details on request.
