About SALLY
Sally came into our care in July 2025 from Belfast City Council dog pound. According to her microchip details Sally was born on Valentines Day 2018 which makes her approximately six and a half years of age. As well as having the most soft, gentle, warm brown eyes, she has the cutest of faces that makes everyone smile when they are in her company. She is one of those dogs that really makes people want to pet and love her. From the moment she arrived Sally has been an absolute joy to be around with no issues (large or small) for us to have to help her with. It was almost as though she knew she had been saved from euthanasia and wanted to show us just what a good girl she really is, and she did that in abundance. This precious little Stafford has slept through the night without a peep from day one and been an absolute joy to be around.
Sally is a wonderful combination of often being a coach potato, enjoying her afternoon and evening naps but she is also an eager walker who enjoys exploring the outside world. She walks beautifully on the lead and just two 30-40 minutes walks a day is all Sally needs to keep her sufficiently exercised, although we know she would love to go on longer hikes if her new family enjoy rambling. She has never shown any adverse behaviour towards other dogs on a walk and we believe she could live with another dog with similar energy given the correct introduction.
Sally travels well in the car, indeed, she positely enjoys car journeys. She is also fully housetrained.
Sally is nondestructive and very comfortable and confident in her own company when left alone having never shown any signs of anxiety. She has a very endearing habit of organising and 'tidying up' by moving things around the house, especially her little blankie. She always greets her foster family members as though she hasn't seen them for hours even if they have only left the room for five minutes! Her new family can expect lots of laughter and funny moments as well as her being a very loyal dog.
Eager and wanting to please, Sally knows all the basic commands and really enjoys learning new things. She loves to play ball in the garden but her favourite toy is probably her snake which she gets lots of pleasure from sucking and chewing on for long periods of time.
We have placed a minimum age of 8 years for children in any potential family simply because we have no history of her living with babies and toddlers. Sally has been in foster care with a family that has two teenage daughters and she adores each member of the family equally. She is very attentive and just like all Staffords is very people oriented and loves to be in on family action and activities.
Overall, Sally is a superb, well-mannered and polite dog who will be the perfect addition to a wide variety of families. She is bursting with love and has the most amazing temperament. We have no doubt that she will settle into her new family without any bother just as she has with us.
